IMPORTANT NOTICE

The past few years have been challenging for small businesses, not more so than for the photography industry that saw studios across the country close for the best part of 18-months, their owners seeing their income cease overnight.

The effect of Covid-19 on our family, business and my health have been devastating, after years of building a business and reputation.

Whilst we have soldiered on through these difficult times with your support, poor health has led me to take the difficult decision not to take on any new gift voucher sales or portrait sessions in 2023.

I will make limited sessions available each month to honour past gift voucher sales until the end of the year, crafting amazing images for those who’ve already invested in them. Please contact me via email – jamie@hounddogphotography.co.uk to book these.

Welcome to Hound Dog Photography

Beautiful portraits of man’s best friend created by Surrey pet photographer Jamie Morgan.

There is an enviable bond between man and dog.

I grew up in the Heart of the Kent countryside in a beautiful village called Biddenden.  Both my Great Grandparents and Grandparents owned farms in the village and I was lucky enough to spend most of my childhood outdoors with our Whippet Cross called Charlie.

There is an enviable bond between man and dog.  It is one relationship however where you soon start to realise that you will outlive your closest friend and there will be a time when they are not by your side anymore.

In adult life I appreciate the bond between man and dog more than ever and love getting to know dogs and their owners, capturing the characters and bonds between them.

Looking back now there are a few tatty photos in my Mum’s album of Charlie, who lived until from when I was in nappies until I was 19. Like most people I look back wishing I had better photos of the friend I loved so much.

In June 2016, I was really proud to win Kennel Club Dog Photographer of the Year for my portrait work – over 13,000 people entered from 90 countries around the globe. I have also enjoyed a number of other awards within the photography industry this year.

I hope you enjoy looking at my work and we can share a walk or a run in the park together soon and create a picture of your friend for you to treasure.

I would recommend Jamie if you want some treasured shots of your pet, without the stress of getting them!

Jamie has a natural way with dogs, and you can tell he is passionate about what he does. He captured brilliant, natural images of my very energetic, 1 year old German Wirehaired Pointer. Not to mention, he has the patience of a saint when my dog constantly kept leaping into the river. Thank you!
