Bracknell Show – July 2019

Back in 2014, new Lion member Paul decided that he’d like to rekindle the Bracknell Show he remembered from his childhood. And sure enough, he put together a team and six months later we had over 45 stalls, a huge arena, a successful brochure and raffle tickets sold! It was a huge amount of work, but the club have learnt vital lessons each year and have been able to make the show bigger and stronger. In 2017, we survived the bad weather which threatened to stop us raising money and still raised over £2,600 to distribute to local, national and international charities.  For more information on each year and to see some photos too, please click on the links on the left hand side.

The show consists of a wide selection of stalls- books, crafts, charity raffle and tombola, sweet treats, information and trade. In addition to that there’s a range of high quality food (including vegetarian), brilliant arena displays from local groups, emergency service vehicles, fair-ground rides, face painting, reptile handling and much more. Each year we produce a glossy brochure full of adverts and information about the show, about Lions and our campaigns. In 2017, this was supported by the wonderful team at Thames Valley Signs. The club also run a big raffle, with top cash prizes, and many more exciting prizes and vouchers donated by local companies.
