From Fashion to Fine Art – Gary Hill

The Master Photographers Association West Midlands Region – March 2018

Each month the West Midlands Region host an engaging professional photographer to speak and educate our members.

Our March Regional meeting was hosted by The Flash Centre at their Birmingham store. Brian and Simon were the perfect hosts for the evening, whilst Gary took us through his previous career and how his journey into photography started.

Through the evening Gary showed the styles of work he had undertaken in fashion photography and the concepts and skills that were transferable to his Fine Art styled photography today.

As an ambassador for Digitalab, Gary talked about some of their fine art products, with Managing Director Gill on hand to answer questions.

The Master Photographers Association, is a not for profit organisation with the focus on educating, mentoring and qualifying professional photographers. Based from 12 regions across the country, with monthly regional meetings, regular workshops and an online community, the mentality of the MPA really is ‘Together we are stronger’.
