Develop your craft and achieve professional qualification
In the photographic industry, there are a number of professional bodies, the Guild of Photographers, Master Photographers Association, and British Institute of Professional Photography to name a few.
Each industry body has a professional development programme to encourage photographers to push themselves both technically and creatively towards three levels of qualification – generally Licentiate, Associate, and Fellow.
The basis of each qualification is a panel of images presented to a group of judges, normally Fellows of the organisation.
Time, effort, and attention to detail all go into the preparation of the selection of images known as the ‘qualification panel’.
