What’s great about Henley Gate, Pirbright?

Within a few moments of leaving the car at Henley Park Ranges, we enjoy a woodland walk with the dogs.

A mixed pine woodland scattered with Rhodedendrons and other plants make an interesting backdrop for your dog photography session.

We enjoy one of two circular walks, which can either take in some time around the beautiful lake, or a longer woodland walk perfect for autumn photoshoots.

Occasionally gun-fire may be heard from the neighbouring military ranges. We would not recommend this venue for nervous dogs.

Where is Henley Gate?

Just 15 minutes from Woking, and 20 minutes from Camberley and Guildford, Surrey this venue is perfect for larger dog breeds.

Tucked away between Normandy and Pirbright this site is mainly unfenced woodland. Parking along Henley Gate, we either take a stroll across Standing Hill towards Henley Park Lake and down to Badgers Walk and back, or head across the forest to Chair Hill and Bowling Hill before heading back towards Stream Cottage.

What facilities are at Henley Gate, Pirbright?

There is parking along Henley Gate, opposite Cobbett Hill Road.

There are no toilet or Cafe facilities at this location.

Nearest toilets are at The Royal Oak Public House on Aldershot Road.

Not suitable for visitors with limited mobility. Most of our session will take place along woodland tracks and through forest areas. This venue is not suitable for wheelchair users.

What to expect..

After you’ve selected your gift experience or session, we will be in touch to get some information about your dog, your home and the style of pictures you would love on the walls.
You will then receive an information pack to help you get the best from the session. If your dog is a breed that needs grooming, it’s best to do this a few days in advance and give the coat time to settle with just a tidy or brush the day of the shoot.
On the day, we’ll meet at the car park. You will want to bring your dogs favourite toy, or special treats, we will also have a bag of goodies to keep them motivated.

5. We will enjoy a relaxed and fun dog walk at a pace that suits your dog. Ensure you wear some sturdy shoes or boots, depending on how far we walk and the weather, we could be out for upto 2 hours.

6. We will start with some traditional sat portraits, then play some games, chase a ball or frisbee, then as we come toward the end of the session we’ll finish with a few more of those signature portraits.

7. You will be invited back to the Studio, normally within 2 weeks of your session to view your images, see samples of our handmade products and place your order.

Facts about Henley Gate, Pirbright

Henley Gate is located close to one of the UK’s eight research institutes. The Pirbright Institute is on a neighbouring road and researches into livestock diseases and production of vaccines.
Close to the Car Parking area at Henley Gate is Cobbett Hill Earth Station a military site from the 1950’s now used as a satellite communications station serving the military, government, oil and gas and maritime industries. You can see the selection of satellite dishes from the road.
