What’s great about Pirbright Common?

Pirbright Common is a large area of land surrounding the Surrey village of Pirbright. Much of the land has been adopted by the Ministry of Defence for training ground for the Army Training Centre, but there are still plenty of stunning spaces to enjoy.

Flanking Brookwood Cemetries we have a stunning area of gorse and heathland with an enclosed area perfect for dogs off lead.

Where is Pirbright Common?

Just 12 minutes from Woking and 20 minutes from Camberley, Surrey, Pirbright is a delightful Surrey village of around 1000 homes.

The areas surrounding Pirbright are a mix of Pirbright Ranges owned by the MOD for training, Brookwood Cemeteries and War Graves and Pirbright Common Land.

There are no toilet or cafe facilities at these locations. These locations use forest or heathland tracks and are not suitable for wheelchairs or those with limited mobility.

Your Dog Photoshoot Experience

What to expect..

After you’ve selected your gift experience or session, we will be in touch to get some information about your dog, your home and the style of pictures you would love on the walls.
You will then receive an information pack to help you get the best from the session. If your dog is a breed that needs grooming, it’s best to do this a few days in advance and give the coat time to settle with just a tidy or brush the day of the shoot.
On the day, we’ll meet at the car park. You will want to bring your dogs favourite toy, or special treats, we will also have a bag of goodies to keep them motivated.

5. We will enjoy a relaxed and fun dog walk at a pace that suits your dog. Ensure you wear some sturdy shoes or boots, depending on how far we walk and the weather, we could be out for upto 2 hours.

6. We will start with some traditional sat portraits, then play some games, chase a ball or frisbee, then as we come toward the end of the session we’ll finish with a few more of those signature portraits.

7. You will be invited back to the Studio, normally within 2 weeks of your session to view your images, see samples of our handmade products and place your order.

Facts about Pirbright Common

Pirbright is home to the Army Training Centre, which delivers basic training to Army trainee’s over a 14-week course. Much of the Pirbright Ranges and Ash Ranges are used for these training sessions.
Famous residents of Pirbright included the first civilian to be awarded the Victoria Cross – Ross Lowis Mangles and the Grandfather of Richard Branson, Sir G. A. H. Branson a high court judge and barrister.
